The towns and the places
Six towns keep pages here. Around them are the places that did not: some are still on the road, some are a church and a graveyard, and some are only a name. The curved lines show where a place went when it emptied out. Four of the seven walked to the railroad; the others left for a post office, a flood and a school.

Base geography is US Census TIGER/Line 2024 and place coordinates are USGS GNIS, both public domain. The lifted lines are traced from USGS historical topographic quadrangles (1:24,000, 1956 and 1965) and from Census TIGER/Line 2007 for the Corsicana–Dawson line, which TIGER carried then and does not carry now.
