Mildred

Navarro County, Texas

A railroad stop with a post office from 1897. Several hundred people came when oil was found on the Powell field about 1900; it was over by 1905 and the post office closed in 1907. Sixty-one people lived here in the mid-1930s and 399 at the 2020 census.
