Oak Grove

Navarro County, Texas

Two miles northeast of Kerens, Oak Grove was a farming community established before 1900, its school enrolling sixty-nine students in 1906. The mid-1930s settlement held a church, school, cemetery and several houses; the school merged into Kerens's after the war, and by the mid-1960s only a church, cemetery and scattered houses were left.
