Oak Valley, off Farm Road 2555 four miles southwest of Corsicana in central Navarro County, is not one of the older communities on this list. It was founded in the 1970s as a residential subdivision for people commuting into Corsicana, and it is still growing rather than fading, about two hundred people in 1987, four hundred eighteen as of the most recent count.
