Eureka
Navarro County, Texas
Eureka sits at the junction of US Highway 287 and Farm Roads 637 and 3243, eleven miles southeast of Corsicana. It grew around Dunn's School before the Civil War, and its post office took its name at a Grange meeting in 1870. Population was about twenty-five in 1885 and a hundred by 1914, then grew again in recent decades, two hundred forty-three in the early 1990s and three hundred forty by 2000.
