Carroll Chapel

Navarro County, Texas

On State Highway 14, fourteen miles south of Corsicana, Carroll Chapel was founded before 1900 and had a school enrolling twenty-five students by 1906. The mid-1930s community held a church, a cemetery and a number of houses; most residents left after the Second World War, and by the mid-1960s only the cemetery and scattered houses remained.
