Samaria
Navarro County, Texas
Samaria sits on Farm Road 3096, four miles southeast of Kerens in southeastern Navarro County, probably settled before 1900. Its early school, with a hundred thirty-seven Black students enrolled in 1906, was itself named Goodnight, the name of the separate community that sits under half a mile away and is also carried on this list; both places are stated here as the Handbook of Texas and GNIS each carry them, distinctly. Population has held near ninety since 2000.
