Goodnight

Navarro County, Texas

Goodnight sits off Farm Road 3096, eighteen miles east of Corsicana in eastern Navarro County, probably settled before the early 1900s with a school and churches by the 1930s. It sits under half a mile from Samaria, also on this list, and the Handbook of Texas notes that Samaria's own early school was itself named Goodnight; both are carried here as the separate places GNIS and the Handbook of Texas each treat them as, with the connection stated rather than resolved. Population was about twenty-five as of 2000.
