Hardy's Chapel

Navarro County, Texas

Off Farm Road 638, twenty-one miles southwest of Corsicana, Hardy's Chapel grew up around a church of the same name, probably after the Civil War. Its school ran through the 1880s and closed by 1900; the mid-1930s community held a store and houses for about twenty-five people. It was off the highway maps by the mid-1960s.
