Pettys Chapel
Navarro County, Texas
Pettys Chapel sits a mile northeast of Corsicana in central Navarro County. It traces to an 1852 Cumberland Presbyterian camp meeting and takes its name from George V. Petty, who donated the school land in 1870; its first Methodist church was built around 1885. Population was about forty in 1939 and has held near twenty-five since 1990.
