What the file shows

Samuel Wilson received Mercer's Colony certificate No. 301 for 640 acres at Corsicana in April 1850, and David R. Mitchell surveyed the land on Briar Creek, beside Thomas Crabb, that June. In April 1855 Wilson sold the certificate to William F. Henderson for $300, and Henderson had the old field notes renewed under the act of 1852. The Land Office issued patent No. 1112, Vol. 9, to Henderson in February 1856.
