What the file shows

In October 1856 the Navarro District Court issued Isaac Kincaid a 320-acre Mercer's Colony certificate. Alex. Beaton entered it for him in February 1857, deputy surveyor J. M. Eliot surveyed it on Richland Creek about seven miles west of Corsicana in May 1857, and the patent issued to Kincaid himself on 15 February 1858.

Entitles Isaac Kincaid to 320 acres within the colony of Charles Fenton Mercer and his Associates, he having taken the oath and made the proof required by law of his citizenship.
