What the file shows

Jacob J. Wright was left with 14 acres of unlocated balance on Mercer's Colony certificate No. 1047, which the Land Office certified on 27 June 1855. Deputy Surveyor Milton Wright laid it out in May 1857 as a thin strip on Cottonwood Creek about 8 miles from Corsicana, and the patent issued to John E. Cravens as assignee on 8 June 1859.

Jacob J. Wright is entitled to have surveyed fourteen (14) acres, being the unlocated balance of Mercer's Colony certificate No. 1047, Class 3rd, for 320 acres dated 7 June 1850
