What the file shows
In February 1860, under a special relief act of the Texas Legislature, Commissioner of Claims W. J. Hotchkiss issued a 960-acre bounty warrant (No. 213) for Jacob Allbrachet's service in the army of the Republic of Texas, made out to Henry Teal as his assignee. The warrant went unused until 1872–74, when County Surveyors John W. Irwin and A. S. Howren located it in seven small tracts scattered around Navarro County, often with J. M. Eliot on the chain. All seven field notes were filed in the Land Office in October 1874. Seven patents (Nos. 398–404, Vol. 15) issued to Henry Teal on December 10, 1875.
The certificate
bounty, No. 213 (Robertson Bounty Warrant No. 213), 960 acres, W. J. Hotchkiss, Commissioner of Claims, Austin, 1860-02-25 (two field notes write 26th over another figure).
For services in the Army of the Republic of Texas (service dates left blank on the form), under 'An Act for the relief of certain persons herein after named', approved February 13, 1860; issued directly to Henry Teal as assignee of Jacob Allbrachet

Also in the file
- The warrant was granted by a special act of the Legislature for a named person in 1860, but no land was surveyed on it until 1872 and nothing reached the Land Office until 1874.
- Jacob Allbrachet never held the warrant himself — it was issued from the start to Henry Teal as his assignee.
- The 960 acres were scattered in seven pieces all over Navarro County — east, west and south of Corsicana — fitting into leftover gaps between older surveys ('surrounded' on the map check).
- One survey (48 acres) sits next to John Jacobs' land west of Corsicana; another (132.6 acres) next to A. Hulver's.
- On the 214-acre tract the county surveyor found the older State survey's line called 1000 varas was really only 900.
- The warrant date is given as 25 February 1860 on the warrant, but two field notes alter it to the 26th.
- The renewal notes on the 48-acre survey give inconsistent dates (1873 and 1874).
