What the file shows

The heirs of Ury DeArman held Mercer's Colony certificate No. 1229 for 640 acres, issued at Corsicana in April 1851. J. M. Elliott surveyed 320 acres of it on Richland Creek in October 1851, and the Land Office issued patent No. 1142, Vol. 15 on 23 December 1857, delivered to Elliott in March 1858. The other 320 acres are in a separate file.

Entitles the heirs of Ury DeArman to 640 acres within the limits of the colony of Charles Fenton Mercer and his Associates, they having made the proof required by law of 'their' citizenship in the colony
