The court
The commissioner sits on the commissioners court with the county judge, Colby W. Karhan, and the other three commissioners. The court adopts the county budget and sets the property tax rate. In 2026 the court has held its regular meeting on the second Monday of the month at 10 a.m. in the Commissioners Courtroom, with special sessions between; each posted notice gives the date, time and place.
